Miranda Cacek has been a Certified Massage Therapist and Birth Doula since 2004. After helping her sister have her first baby, she realized her future job would be working with pregnant women and their families in some way. It wasn’t until after Miranda had her 3rd baby that she found doula work and massage therapy. Since then she has combined these two services to give the families she works with a well-rounded approach to both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Miranda became a Certified Labor Doula through CAPPA in 2005.  She encourages the families she works with to become knowledgeable about their options for pregnancy and birth and make the choices that work for them.

In January of 2007, Miranda received her Advanced Bodywork Certificate in Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and started her own practice specializing in prenatal, labor, and postpartum massage and doula services. Her massage style can be described as deeply relaxing, yet thoroughly therapeutic, and her experience and knowledge about the pregnant and postpartum body allows her to address most of the common complaints that can occur during this time period, as well as the many issues that can arise during high risk pregnancies. Miranda brings her knowledge as a birth doula to massage sessions by offering insight, reassurance, and information to the wide ranging concerns that women and families have through pregnancy and beyond.

Although her specialty is pregnancy and postpartum massage, Miranda loves helping partners, husbands, and  anyone not pregnant find relaxation and rejuvenation through massage therapy.

Besides massage and doula work, Miranda occupies her time with adventures with her family, studying TCM, knitting and crocheting, salsa dancing, and re-reading the Harry Potter books.
